The YMCA Theatre in Scarborough is hosting a very special party night on the last night of their summer musical ‘Rock of Ages’, on Thursday 1st September 2016.
The theatre’s in-house production company, YMCA Productions, have decided to host the evening in celebration of a fantastic run and to make the last night even more special for the audience, cast, crew and creative team.
“We have had some rave reviews for the summer show. We’ve had a standing ovation every single night and there is a real buzz in the theatre this summer”, said Productions Director James Aconley. “We decided that the only way to make the summer show even better would be if we held a celebratory party night on the last night of the run”.
Audience members are invited to come along to see the show in their very best 80s rock costumes and really get into the party spirit with the cast. “As well as an audience full of 80s rockers, we’ll also be welcoming our very own Rock of Ages photographer to capture the night. To top it all off, we will have a very special money-can’t-buy prize for the best dressed audience member”, said James.
The audience member with the best 80s costume will go home with a special VIP invitation to all YMCA Productions shows in 2017, which will allow the lucky winner to see Footloose, Sister Act and our 2017-18 pantomime free of charge with the creative team and the other theatre VIPs.
The YMCA Theatre bar will be open from 6.30pm on the evening serving a selection of wines, beers, soft drinks and refreshments and open again after the show for post-show drinks.
Tickets for the event cost just £10 for adults, £8.50 for concessions and £32 for a family ticket.
As well as the Party Night on Thursday 1st September, the show is running every Tuesday-Thursday at the YMCA Theatre until the Party Night.
